Assuming thar both masks and social distances provide some benefit when used in combination, my theory is that the over emphasis being put on masks is causing more harm than good because in many areas including mine it leads to a false sense of security and causes people to not social distance.

How many times have you seen two people in masks at the demonstration yelling at each other? How many times have you seen political leaders wearing masks standing in close proximity as they chat during breaks? How many times have you seen people standing on lines in stores just as close as they used to, all feeling safe because they are wearing a mask?

Imagine for a moment that I make a very stinky fart. Do you think you are better off standing right next to me with your mask on, or 6 feet away without one. Social distancing matters more than masks, IMHO, and the emphasis on masks may be getting people infected with Covid because they are not social distancing as much as they should.

Distancing does nothing with a virus.

I’m so tired of people not having basic common sense.
