I am a Luddite. I have a so called “ghetto phone” which is a minute phone for car emergencies or being called in from the dentist’s parking lot during Covid days. It doesn’t read QR codes or other modern things like use fancy apps.
So the digital divide will have to close for me (I have a landline touch tone phone-—not a dial phone). My wife always says (as with the laptop I am using and its wi-fi printer) I will someday have to comply. Came close when my purchase at Best Buy (item had to be backordered online) ended with “just scan this product transaction information and show your phone at the checkout.” Employee ended up letting me use his.

I have an old flip phone.......for emergency use only. I have had a phone with me in the car since 1994........no one calls me,at my request. My kids know the # in case I have to call them. Landline at home.

Article said for those without smartphones, there would be a printout.
But printouts can be lost or left at home with the other medical records.
And WTH happened to HIPAA in all of this?
