I left off the /s tag; I know they had a team in the past, and assumed they’d been pressured to keep the Orioles there even when it was clear fans couldn’t safely attend games there.
When Newark NJ tried to attract the NJ Nets (when the Meadowlands arena was shut down to funnel business - including the N Devils hockey team - into Newark), the new Russian owner politely declined and moved to Brooklyn instead (where people could afford tickets and attend games with better security than Newark would offer).
