The ban was ridiculous but “effective” was not the purpose.

The left wanted to get a ban in place, no matter the limited term, to begin the process, get Americans used to the concept & reality.

Then the “salami method” takes over and they whittle away the Second Amendment.

They, as usual, underestimated the majority and overplayed their plans.
