To: I want the USA back

Respectfully disagree.

The Left would disarm criminals if it could. Not out of any love/conconcern for their victims but out of its desire to remove any effective means by the oppressed of resisting the criminal acts carried out by the state.

That and short term it benefits the left on several levels to have a plethora of violent armed felons roaming the streets.

Most obviously it provides a number of terrified voters who can be stampeded into voting for anyone (falsely) promising to provide peace and safety.

More subtly it provides cover for political assassinations, ask Seth Rich.

End game:
The Left can and will disarm criminals, at least the ones they don't directly hire...

“The Left would disarm criminals if it could.” - The left thrives on armed criminals. They have no interest in disarming them because they are a useful tool for terrorizing the populace and forcing it to submit if they wish to have protection.

“Not out of any love/conconcern for their victims but out of its desire to remove any effective means by the oppressed of resisting the criminal acts carried out by the state.” - Guns in the hands of criminals does not help the oppressed resist the state unless you mean the criminals are the oppressed.
