WASHINGTON — The Biden administration on Saturday put Johnson & Johnson in charge of a troubled Baltimore manufacturing plant that ruined 15 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine and moved to stop the plant from making another vaccine by AstraZeneca, senior federal health officials said.
The extraordinary move by the Department of Health and Human Services came just days after officials had learned that Emergent BioSolutions, a contract manufacturer that has been making both the Johnson & Johnson and the AstraZeneca vaccines, mixed up ingredients from the two, which led regulators to delay authorization of the plant’s production lines.

It would be interesting to find out how that plant got the contract in the first place? Did the company put in the lowest bid? Or did somebody know somebody? Or did somebody bribe somebody?

AstraZeneca is the British vaccine and while other countries acted to restrict its use the British government was not following suit. Those countries limiting usage in younger people as the blood clot cases and even deaths were reported.
Now the British government is admitting seven deaths following use of the AstraZeneca vaccine but denying for the moment any link to the vaccine’s use.

We’re all so fortunate to have so many experimental vaccines available now to take to fight a virus with a 99-percent-plus survival rate.
They mixed them both together into the same bottles. Hmmm. And the White House knew about this over two weeks ago but were trying to cover it up. Hmmm again.
Just imagine if anyone got those vaccines from tainted bottles. You have to think some made it through.

Pretty sure either the DHHR or the FDA has authority to shut down the plant.
So they probably gave them an offer they couldn’t refuse. Shut down or only produce one vaccine and let J&J oversee it.
What genius thought that would be a good idea to have the same people making two different vaccines for the same issue in close proximity?
Anyway, not sorry to see the AZ vaccine will not be getting made anymore.
