Gov. Newsom recently announced that all Californians 16 years old and over will be able to receive a coronavirus vaccination beginning on April 15, and those above 50 years old will be eligible beginning on Thursday, April 1.
Californians 50 and above can start receiving the COVID-19 vaccine today.

Eligibility will be opening up, but it won’t necessarily make getting an appointment from Kaiser or Sutter Health easier, at least for now.

A huge surge in pent up demand will make scheduling first shots difficult for a while - appointments will probably sell out in minutes, for the first few weeks of open eligibility.
Although it seems kind of political to just throw open eligibility, because Biden said so, we really are coming to the end of the real priorities (old, vulnerable, essential) who want the shots - at least enough to keep the lines consistently full everywhere.
J&J has dropped the ball on delivering their product. The Government has dropped the ball on getting J&J facilities certified, and getting Novavax and AZ expedited.
Good point. Trump should be congratulated for all of this along with the doctors and scientists who helped make this happen.

They are predominately using Pfizer, because they entered into a deal to get millions of early doses, in return for collecting carefully controlled data, as a huge study. They also used some AZ, and may have had some others - but Pfizer was the bulk of their Program.
I’m going for my first Pfizer Monday - it was first available for me.

Hmm. You aren’t even curious about why authorities worked so hard to suppress effective, inexpensive treatment information? How about all the conflicting information from the CDC? How about the huge percentage of false positive test results from a test never designed for that purpose? How about the reduction of test cycle rates right after the Biden inauguration? Why are they working so hard to get kids vaccinated, even though they are hardly affected by Covid? You really don’t see anything strange in this situation?
