Last week the Texas GOP voted to delete its GAB account after Texas Governor Greg Abbott falsely maligned GAB as “anti-Semitic”.

But they can deny us representation.
Ever wonder why you hear so little regarding Texas as important issues to conservatives? Much of the Texas GOP started out of Democrats, but then switched when the political winds shifted, and we still pay the price for it.

Gab is a truly free speech platform. And yes, there are some serious wacko’s there including Anti-Semites. And, I’m sure some of the NAZI types are leftists pretenders planted to discredit Gab.
I just block the morons and proceed to enjoy the rest of the posters there. While I despise some of the things said there, I view it as incumbent on the users to disregard or block such people rather than Gab itself. Once a social media platform takes on the responsibility to censure what’s posted, it’s all downhill for free speech from there like Twitter and Fakebook having descended into an Orwellian quagmire have shown.
Jim’s Free Republic is one of the few platforms that has proven over time to have sensible moderation without descending into the perpetually offended nanny state mode.
I like it there and find it has less trash talk than Twitter and certainly saw more racism and anti-Semitism on Twitter.
I don’t use Gab that often and didn’t use Twitter that often but I saw anti-Semitism almost every session on Twitter and haven’t seen it on Gab.
I don’t know if that helps at all and I dropped Twitter.

Pay the asking price, and the GOP would sell its “R” brand to a bacteria. It may not back that germ, but it will sell its brand.

Then you haven’t taken a good close look at the Free Speech channel. Boy howdy...
Racists, white supremacists, anti semites, neo nazis, you name it, it’s there. I was amazed how many people truly believe, and try to prove, the earth is FLAT...
I’ve blocked dozens of people who fall into those and other categories, and 2 or 3 that were just annoying jerks.
First time I opened the Free Speech channel, one of the first things in the timeline was anti black, and anti semite, then nazis, flat earthers, OFU fanatics, you name it every really far left and really far right grouop you can think of is very well represented. Oh and quite a few who try to prove nazis didn’t really do all we know they did. It never happened, all fake news...yeah right...my aunt’s family either escaped or were killed by a fake story?
And no matter how many you block, more show up, but after a week or so it calms down and you have the majority of them blocked, then its just a couple a week after that.
Guns of Gab is pretty good, all gun fans and if a gun control nut comes around, he or she doesn’t last long. Photography channel is good too, loads of photographers showing off their pictures, some really good, some are...meh...
I haven’t used ‘channels’ so I wouldn’t know about that part.
The social media sites never really moved me much but they can be useful at times.
I just follow particular people and have followers- how I use it, the nasty doesn’t come across my feed as bad as it did on Twitter.
I suppose it could be that alt-right had tagged me on Twitter because I wasn’t for Trump first election, by a year or so into office, I changed my tune.
Alt-right and how they gang-bang people was most of the reason I didn’t vote in 2016 (at the time I associated them with Trump), I think they kept many bitter with President Trump.

Inever used twitter much, it’s been so long I can’t even remember my user name and password so I can delete it...never had faceboo at all.
Gab is pretty good, once you get the hang of just blocking the idiots. Its no use arguing, they just know they are right and youre full of crap...or a right wing shill...
That and in Texas the Bush mentality is widespread in the party. Globalism is their northstar .
Yes, I have a Twitter that I can’t delete because I can’t get back into it.
I had to create a second account and I actually used it but since have deleted and original is just hanging there in the ether. *shrug*
Yeah, Gab is pretty good, Parler was pretty much a mess and I don’t like how it functions, Twitter is just nasty and addictive.
I had a Facebook with a made up name, fake address, throw away email (all fake, too) but I started getting mail at my house...addressed to my made up name.
I deleted it FB but I only used it to see family accounts and such—never made my own personal reality show like some do.

Glenn Beck mentioned this on his radio show.
He said, “I don’t know what’s happened to Governor Abbott.”
Beck went on to say that GAB isn’t anti-Semitic....it was a poster that made those comments on a free speech platform; not the opinion of GAB management.
