Well, of course.
It’s not about guns, it’s about CONTROLL.
Besides, guns don’t read or understand the Law.

A Centuries old issue, what to do with Violent criminals. We’ve tried branding, cutting off hands, transporting to Australia, and America, long terms in prison, Lopping off heads and Hanging the most effective at the time. Which was deemed cruel by ‘Goody 2 Shoes’ Bleeding Heart Liberals, as was working prisoners. Many prisons were as bad as POW Camps during WW 2.

Rehabilitation of various types, work, mental health, Recreation, Radio then TV and education training via Pell Grants saw just a 30% reduction, and were the least effective, of all the systems tried. Execution has been the most effective and still is the best deterrent. Doesn’t mean they stopped, they just got better at hiding their crimes, and not getting caught again. 11 month 29 day facilities are just 30 day revolving doors, recidivism 90%, these are petty felonies.

Crime control starts with juvenile offenders. Yet is the least funded. Your children go to school with carjackers, rapist, illicit drug dealers, and worse, their records sealed, teachers not informed. After reform Schools were abolished. Juvenile Prisons are only for the most Violent. The State of Tennessee has one 150 bed Juvenile prison. Where they are coddled. Where adjudged Adults juveniles are warehoused until 18, and then sent to an adult prison.

As prison became over Crowded more were released early only to Reoffend with more violent crime. Texas solved the 30 plus years of State and Federal Appeals, for Killers, sentenced to death, other States adopted the Texas method. Stopping small crimes has proven that more Violent crimes are Prevented, Former Mayor Giuliani us the Broken Window Method did reduce crimes. Dr John Lott Jr. Recidivism=Repeat Offender. National Recidivism Hovers at 68%, states vary.

Government became creative in how they counted crime to fool the Public. It is called HIEARCHICAL COUNTING, ONLY THE MOST SERIOUS CRIME IS COUNTED. Kidnap, rape, rob, a person, ONLY THE MURDER IS COUNTED, REST FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET.

As Crime expose writer Robert James Bidinotto wrote for Reader’s Digest, all forms of Rehabilitation have been tried, and failed. Faith based Rehibition seems to work the best for lower level crime, and Illicit drug use.

We do NOT need MORE GUN CONTROL, WE NEED BETTER CRIMINAL CONTROL. A age old issue. Alcatraz was 1 answer a island surrounded by hostile cold water.

My BFF will have 31, her 8 yr old daughter was raped and murdered, perp didn’t need a gun against a 8 yr old, going on 29 yrs on TN Death Row. COVID stopped the Fed court at 27 yrs.

BTW I CCW. Arthritis forced me to go to a revolver. .38 SP S & W hammerless Air Weight.

Like your handle, I’m a Ret. SCPO’s (20 yrs) spouse, we are 72/80 till the calendar turns July/August.

I started out with a Bersa .380, Arthritis got so bad I had to switch to a .38 Revolver, small hands, so Taurus Ultra Lite. Thumb surgery for a torn ligament, and Trigger lock, left the thumb and Index finger frozen, 4 yrs rehab. First trip to range ended up with the webbing between thumb/index finger cut, so I opted to go hammerless. Meanwhile that is delayed by a 2nd Meniere’s attack. ENT/AUDIOLOGIST has taken over my time, and the Vertigo crap my life. Now I have to figure out coping skills for the Hearing Impaired with 10 yr old hearing aids which need replacing.

ENT suggested Cochlear Bilateral implants, he doesn’t understand how Tricare Life works at all. I’m a Spouse, not the serviceman, who has Flight Deck hearing loss. 1 is $50,000+. 2 yrs to learn to use. Hearing aids are 1 directional what you are looking at. Left ear has basically no hearing. Right is supposed to enhance to the Left. It doesn’t. Can’t hear the Tornado Alert 1 block away. Nor do you sleep in them. No hearing.
