But we DON’T have “other-worldly courage” and we don’t have this-worldly courage either. Or someone would be fighting back by now, and I do mean fighting. It has been demonstrated convincingly that voting doesn’t work. Only tax rebellion and physical fighting can have any effect on what we’re up against and there isn’t the slightest indication that we in significant numbers will ever, ever practice either method.
We can watch 60 million babies be legally slaughtered. We can stand a few feet away while a criminal beats an old woman on the street. We can shut up after a presidential election is hijacked and the borders are thrown open to all comers. What we can’t do is personally break the law. Any law. Because we’ll be prosecuted. We are good Germans. We are very good Germans.
We are the fattest, most passively entertained and least used to sustained physical labor of any nation in human experience.
Human nature and history seem to indicate that as long as these unprecedented conditions prevail, people aren’t really going to get too upset about any enormity. I think many are going to be simply amazed at what will be tolerated as long as people are fat, entertained, and comfortable as it happens.
