Just wait until this is tied to DHS, your bank, your Twitter and Facebook accounts, your FR account, your food store, your gun store, your gasoline station, the local sheriff’s office, etc. Your “COVID Score” will morph into your “Social Score” a la China. You will be persona non grata if you don’t comply with the borg.
With 100 million people getting vaccinated, and afaik most of them with paper documents, how on earth are they going to go back and register all these people into any kind of system? Assuming they still have their cards, assuming they are legible and not accidentally washed in the laundry, and assuming they are willing and able to get ‘registered’ what are people going to do? Go to the local DMV and stand in line? Should it be reverse priority? E.g. the most productive people go first, and retirees go last?

It is not exclusively digital. A system that is exclusively digital, whether by design or as a practical matter, would be a nonstarter because it would increase inequality. All unemployed in the future must have verified by ID.Me or another private verification company hired by the government. Colorado and others made it mandatory starting April 4.
Verification requires a very new smart phone with a good camera, with a Google Chrome browser.
Feature phones, flip-phones and lower cost smart phones won’t work. And there is no other option for verification (no longer can pop into an unemployment office with your drivers license and other documents)
Or you can just say it is racist. People in the developing countries won’t have access until next year at least. These “passports” are racist it’s like building a wall to keep them out of the country.

Actually, never mind, don’t want to here your BS rationalizations.
We also worry that a vaccine passport will encourage over-use. The issues around passport design are separate from the question of where and when people can be required to furnish proof of vaccinations, but if a passport system makes it very easy to ask for and to provide proof of vaccination, it’s likely that such requests will become over-used as people get asked for credentials at every turn. While there are legitimate circumstances in which people can be asked for proof of vaccination, we don’t want to turn into a checkpoint society that outlasts the danger of COVID and that casually excludes people without credentials from facilities where vaccine mandates are not highly justified.
Good read for people who still think this is just about airpports and say I don’t care because I don’t live in the city and don’t fly.

First, no coherent connection to the paragraph.
Second and more importantly, my point stands that if you think there is anything AT ALL non totalitarian in the idea of ‘vaccine passports’ , which you seem to worry will not be fair or something, then you would be a good fit for our coming gestasi.
Biden has effectively exempted illegal aliens from Covid-testing - they can pour over the borders, are briefly detained by ICE, so as to concentrate the virus, and then allowed to spread out and infiltrate the country at large, regardless of their Covid status, to infect millions of innocent Americans.
Problem solved! (In Democrat eyes.)
