Background checks in March were up 36% from February, as around 4.7 million were initiated, FBI data shows, according to CNN.
The number of checks do not equal the number of guns purchased, but they do tend to correlate with the volume of sales. Gun sales have historically trended higher as safety fears gripped America or when citizens anticipated upcoming gun control measures.

Who are buying these record gun sales year after year? I can't believe these are all conservatives building arsenals. I can understand the Obambi years, but not Trump, and why the idiot Biteme even with his socialist Congress?
Hope I'm wrong, but I believe a lot of the Left are now buying for various reasons.

One has to wonder, What makes the Democrats think all these gun owners will submit and surrender their guns?
I live in Hawaii which arguably has the worst gun control laws, eg. we have to get police permission to purchase or transfer guns and we have to register ALL guns.Most people except the whites( I’m considered a white guy)ignore those laws.
It will be interesting. Do you think they Democrat have enough cops to enforce their unenforceable laws?
