I doubt the will of the voters has been reflected in elections for decades.
One of the reasons we moved out of a blue city was that we saw that voting was pointless when Democrats run the polling infrastructure.
Yes, we could do more, and should. But it’s not quite as simple as “this is what we all voted for”, because, chances are, it isn’t.
