Could Biden be forced to impose MORE tax raises? Expert says president's hikes will only account for half his $2trillion infrastructure package leaving the US another $1trillion in debt

Joe Biden's promise to pay for his $2 trillion infrastructure plan with a raise on corporation tax has been called into question by financial experts, who say that the figures do not add up.

Biden on Wednesday unveiled his proposals in Philadelphia, urging Congress to approve what he said were essential upgrades to roads, trains, water systems, airports, internet access and bike lanes.

He said that the cost will be covered via an increase in taxes on businesses, including taking corporation tax from its current level of 21 per cent to 28 per cent.

Enough. We need drastic spending cuts across the board.

It is obvious to me that the contents of these gargantuan spending bills are not nearly as important to dems as are the costs. I think their primary goal is to make these bills as absurdly expensive as possible in order to overwhelm the country’s finances and sink it for good. If they also happen to get some pet projects of theirs funded along the way, then that’s just gravy, but their number one objective is to destroy the United States.

The only thing more perverse is all of the bystanders on the “conservative” side who keep denying the full reality of what is happening by speaking in terms of the dems’ “mistakes” and “overreach”, as if these were just normal times, and the dems were just bumbling rather than executing a carefully constructed plan to utterly destroy our country.

I think the reason for this denial is that most don’t want to consider the measures that would be necessary, and the personal responsibility for every citizen, to repel these very real domestic enemies.

There are three essential problems with this entire discussion:

1. All of this seems to revolve around ‘shovel-ready’ projects, which we know is a comical farce and a third of the ‘loot’ just goes into a pit of darkness.

2. A majority of the ‘loot’ goes to highly urbanized areas. A dozen bridges around Iowa that really needs replacing...won’t get the status or ‘loot’. Same story in the Ozarks.

3. Finally, lets be honest...the real number here required for infrastructure replacement is probably closer to 100-trillion dollars. So, Biden’s chatter is simply a single drop in a 1-gallon bucket.

When destroying an edifice, and everything around it, does an arsonist skimp on the gasoline? Biden is an arsonist. He will burn through our entire future in less than a year.

Another two trillion?

I’m old enough to remember when Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen said “A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you’re talking real money.”

Those were the days.....

There will still be “future”, all right. The question is, how dystopian shall it be? There is no way to achieve any kind of utopian or even decent future.

Nobody walks away unscathed. But some will have more of their hides than others.

The Third Reich on May 30, 1945. Destitution and ruin lie upon the land. And with virtually no shots fired.

At least not by an enemy invader.

Just wait and see what effect their “wealth tax” will have. After it gets past the courts. I’m worried what will happen to assets when the rich have to sell off to pay their share; can it crash the entire economy if all those people liquidate all their assets at once? Serious cash shortage, too...

For consideration. In just dollars.. in nov 2020 Trump had a $1 Trillion dollar infrastructure plan. In before the i was for infrastructure until i was against it.
Of course his was border walls n the like.
Why wont even the most conservative president privatize highways and bridges? This is democrat money laundering.. unions, govt contractors with no obvious ability to do the job efficiently or as in NC with the same highways under consrtuction when i arrived 21 years ago are still under construction or reconsruction... correctly.
Even Trumps endless rounds of COVID spending went to closedxperforming arts.
We are broken if the money he wanted was primarily funneled to dems.

Great. No delusions from this conservative. The quicker they burn it down the quicker we can have peaceful separation. And if they won’t allow it to be peaceful then it will be violent.

Biden is an ego maniac. He’s got a very small brain, and craves power. He hates the business owner with a passion, because the business owner holds some measure power.

A Marxist thug who wants his face on every wall.

I hope we see him fall down the air force one steps again, but from the first step to the tarmac, banging his face on every tread.

Raising tax rates never raises revenue.

The only “tax” that actually raises revenue ( and protect US workers) is a tariff.

What Biden will accomplish with his huge tax hikes will be to convince a bunch of companies to move operations overseas. And when he is done, he will still need more money from taxes, and guess who will be affected then.

Who would be left with enough wealth to buy those assets? The Chicoms or the Saudis.

I find it interesting that they’re calling this “Biden’s tax increases” while the power to tax is firmly in the hands of Congress. This isn’t a tax increase by Biden. This is a tax increase by Congress. What a farce all of this is. Civics is dead. It’s no wonder they’ve succeeded.
