My mother was married when she was sixteen, she had graduated from high school and was employed. We have lots of photos of happy family members after they eloped, her husband, not my father, was in the Marines and was only a year older. No one considered them children.

Yep, it does seem times have changed.

I started working when I was sixteen, Bought my first car at 18, married at 23, bought our first house at 24, but didn’t have our first child until 30.

Now, “kids” are on their parent’s insurance until 26 LOL.
