At this point, the “debt” is money printing laundered via the Federal Reserve.
We the US citizens are now totally powerless to stop this money printing.
Only the Chinese government can rein in the debasement of the US dollar by closing the Bank of China’s dollar window until Chinese supervision of US/CA/NY/NJ/CT government finances is put in place.
I don’t think it matters anymore. The Federal Reserve prints whatever it wants. Other nations are free to borrow from us, of course. But we are playing a game.
