I'm simply pointing out that he made these two statements back to back tonight on Tucker Carlson's show. In doing so he raised suspicions. Perhaps it was poor wording on his part, perhaps he didn't think through what he was saying. Perhaps something else. Who the hell knows. I learned how to parse sentences under the William Jefferson Blythe Clinton ("Slick Willie") Administration to determine when someone is or isn't telling the full truth. My opinion: Gaetz isn't telling the full truth.
It's possible that he's concerned about pending legal actions and has to take care not to disclose confidential information. There's also possible embarrassment about traveling with young, but legal age, female companions.
