How could someone like that ever get elected in a red state like North Dakota?
South Dakota had TWO Democrat Senators for years even though I can’t remember the last time they voted for a Dem President candidate. It’s been decades.
It reminds me a bit of Ohio in the 1980s. They voted overwhelmingly for Reagan (twice) and then Bush but that entire time, they had arguably two of the most liberal Senators in Metzenbaum and Glenn.
A combination of misrepresentation and Indian reservations.
