Unless the person of interest has actually committed a crime (conspiracy to commit murder is a crime if you can prove it) there is not (and SHOULD NOT BE) a whole heck of lot the Feebs can do.

I believe the FFL holder can refuse the transaction. Based on their evaluation of ‘safety’ or some such.

So, the feds, if they cared, could pass any ‘doubt’ to the FFL holder for him to use to deny.

So FFL holder is supposed to be telepathic? The worst a*****e can put on a good face for the duration of a transaction. This isn’t on the seller.
The NICS was the last chance to stop this guy, but he had not committed a crime, and, to the best of knowledge, there was no diagnosis of mental illness. And do you REALLY want the Feebs to be able deny a purchase ‘cuz of their ‘feelz?’
