Eric Trump was asked by Fox host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” about the allegations swirling around President Biden’s son and the gun that turned up missing in 2018 — and his involvement in business dealings in China and Ukraine, as reported by The Post last October.
“Obviously, Hunter is a troubled kid, right? There’s no question about that. But if that was Don or I, or if that was anybody in the Trump family, and we lied on a federal form, we’d be in jail for the rest of our lives. We really would be,” former President Donald Trump’s son told Bartiromo.
“And it’s amazing. There’s no one even, there’s no one even talking about that. He lied on multiple questions. It wasn’t just the drug question. He lied on multiple questions,” he said.
“And I think a lot of people, Maria, in this country are sick and tired of the unequal scales of justice,” Eric Trump said.
Asked on the gun purchase transaction receipt whether he was an “unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” he answered: “No,” Politico reported.
But five years earlier he had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine and he and other Biden family members have been open about his history of drug abuse.

In a lengthy message sent the following year, President Biden’s son described the situation in detail, saying his former sister-in-law-turned-lover, Hallie Biden, tossed the firearm into a trash bin outside Janssen’s Market, a gourmet grocery store in Wilmington, Del.“She stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then told me it was my problem to deal with,” Hunter wrote.
“Then when the police the FBI the secret service came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids.”
The Jan. 29, 2019, message adds: “Really not joking the cop kept me convinced that Hallie was implying she was scared of me.”
In another message, sent closer to the incident, Hunter described the handgun as “my 38.”

Hunter is not a troubled kid. He’s a grown up with troubled children of his own. And a troubled dad.

Earlier this month, emails allegedly recovered from a laptop that once belonged to Biden’s son Hunter were obtained by The New York Post. Lying on the form is a felony, though prosecutions for it are exceedingly rare.
Neither Hallie Biden nor George Mesires, a lawyer for Hunter Biden, responded to requests for comment.
The gun-store incident occurred during the period after 43 year old Hunter got tossed out of the Naval Reserves for his positive cocaine test.....subsequent to his divorce from his first wife, Kathleen.
The gun incident began when Beau’s widow Hallie, living with Hunter, searched Hunter’s pickup, which was parked at her home in Wilmington, because of unspecified “suspicions she had,” according to the Delaware State Police report.
Inside the truck, Hallie found a .38 revolver. Hunter has referred to the gun himself....as “my .38”.......
NOTE WELL: Any involvement by the Secret Service on behalf of the Biden family...... or, on its own initiative......would be inappropriate interference in an incident that was already being investigated by Delaware State Police with the involvement of the FBI, according to law enforcement officials.
