Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer has announced that he will run against U.S. Sen. James Lankford for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2022.
Lahmeyer has been endorsed by retired General Michael Flynn.
Lahmeyer said that Lankford, a Baptist minister who used to run Falls Creek Christian Camp, is a good man but not strong when it comes to making decisions.
Lankford declined to go along with a formal objection to the results of the November 2020 presidential elections. Lankford said his primary goal was reform of election practice rather than a challenge to the Electoral College. Lankford apologized to black groups in Tulsa who objected to his initial support of the challenge against the election.
Lahmeyer said a negative reaction by the news media and Black Lives Matter to an event at his church to support the police prompted him to run.
“I don’t think (Lankford) stood up enough for the presidency,” Flynn said in Tulsa. “Not just the president. This is not all about Trump.”
Lahmeyer is pastor of Sheridan Church (formerly Sheridan Christian Center) and the Oklahoma director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (run by Franklin Graham).
Former NASA Administrator and Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine announced his endorsement of Lankford when he is up for re-election next year.
Lankford has not formally announced that he is running again.

We want ALL politicians to be looking over their shoulders in fear.
Lankford is a Bush League Republican.
We will never Make America Great Again by re-electing Assistant Democrats.
Really looking forward to voting against Lankford in the primary. Don’t even think about trying to stop me.
Great news! Go, Pastor Jackson!
In Arkansas, Senator Boozman is facing a challenge from
a Missionary Baptist minister. Not knowning anything
avout this new entrant, he seems to have inflamed
the “right” people with his mere presence.
Good! Lankford was always trashing Trump when he got the chance.
Really looking forward to voting against Lankford in the primary. Don’t even think about trying to stop me.
What's Lahmeyer? Do we know?
Lankford needs to go. He is compromised. Rumors about his youth minister background.
All Incumbents Out!
Well, he looks to be just as qualified as Lankford.
That is about all I can say at this point.
Isn’t there anyone qualified for the job that can run?
Just about anyone with two brain cells to rub together is more qualified than Lankford.
