Electric cars are in their infancy,IMHO.It may take years to get batteries that are worthwhile mileage wise.Than there is the reality that whenever you plug them in you are using another fuel of some sort to charge them,yet another glitch. but if you wanna play golf or drive in some areas,its all carts. They have a lot of fun with golf carts of every variety at the Villages a Republican enclave in North florida growing like mad in several counties 200k strong.

This can be a problem in ANY car. Most modern cars have about 10X as much computer power as would be necessary. The EFI and ignition I understand, but I don't need auto dimming interior lights that may shut off when you get to the house, automatic headlights, computer controlling the alternator and turn signals and shifting the atomic transmission.

They now have computers involved in most electric operations of a car, when the screw up, many mechanics can't fix them.

To the automotive engineering Einsteins: Just because you can do something, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
