I’ll look at the vote tally on gun control before concluding that ‘there’s no difference between the parties’.
Even so, I never denied the Uniparty, and that certain IS the case in some areas, with one of them being how they looked at Trump. That was sickening, but how do you end it? Even Ted Cruz is part of the Uniparty, being that he wanted Skunk Cabbage to win 2016 and attacked Trump, viciously, after the Jan 6 protest in DC.
Sure, there are people like you and me*, but how often do people like us end up in DC without being corrupted. In Texas, Dan Patrick was a Rush Limbaugh talk radio guy - that good. He got elected to State Senate, and now is Lt. Governor (as powerful as governor, at least). He only ran because of the way the Texas GOP abused him and about 80 other people who bused into Austin to testify on capping property taxes (which, for many here, increase at 10%, year after year). Guess what...he hasn’t done jack.
*and yes, we are very similar. Only difference is that I’m not willing to concede ANY ground (or actually concede the country) to Democrats, due to my anger with the GOP.
With all due respect, such vote tallies are meaningless Kabuki theater. They showed their true regard for the Constitution not only back on January 6, but also via their efforts to “protect” Mueller, stymie repeal of Zerocare, and even going back in history (interstate highways, Amtrak and suchlike).
One thing the Bible warns us repeatedly is that there’s no hope in man apart from God. Pray we all heed that lesson soon.
