These things have a way of turning against the desires of those who advance them. Equal and opposite reaction and all that.
I remember hearing in 2008 when Obama was elected, pundits saying “this is the end of the GOP”. Two years later the GOP swept Congress. Hear the same things from the new pundits, who are mostly too young to have paid much attention to the pundits of 2008 to know they are both stupid and unoriginal.
This Warren is a real crazy person though. I don’t know whether to thank her for keeping Bernie from winning the Dem primary or not.
My Grandfather went through the Bolshevik Revolution. When the Bolsheviks came onto their family farm to confiscate all their food and live stock he said they were yelling "For The People."

These tyrant-wannabe's are constantly talking about our democracy because they know there is a whole brainwashed generation that doesn't know that this is NOT a democracy! Democracies are always tyrannies ruled by a privileged class. The United States is - or perhaps was - a democratic republic.
A democratic republic is ruled by representatives that are democratically elected and responsible to the electorate. The problem now is that the 'representatives' have discovered how much more money they can make representing themselves.
The founding fathers provided a remedy for that possibility - the people. Now the autocracy is making plans on how to counter that possibility. A formidable battle of wills may be shaping up.
