Very strong day all around - except for J&J.
For the first time, more people 50-64 have now received a first shot, than people 65-74. The older demographics are mostly already through the line for first shots. Increasingly, first shots are going toward younger groups, especially 50-64 year olds.
It seems that the rate of new shots has tapered off rapidly, after about 2/3rds of an age group gets their first shots (for 75+, and 65-74 year olds). Maybe that is an indicator of how many people want/don't want the vaccine generally, but that will likely vary among other groups. Other factors likely come into play as well.
Cases and new hospitalizations may be ticking up slightly, in recent days. Deaths still seem to be on modest downward trend.

Deaths are a trailing indicator. Plus, inoculation for the most vulnerable people should push the case fatality rate down.
I don’t even look as much at the US daily case numbers anymore. I look at Israel’s instead. Given their vaccine rollout schedule, they’re where we are going to be in about 2 months.
Still on target for reaching the herd immunity threshold by July. Probably early July at this point unless something drastic changes.

Might have another muted wave of new cases. I seriously doubt it will be anywhere near the size of previous waves and I don’t think it will carry nearly the number of deaths with it.

I agree with that. The vulnerable populations are largely out of harm’s way already, through vaccination.
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists sees no impact to pregnancy from COVID-19 vaccination. They’re citing a database of 1,800 pregnant women who’ve been vaccinated.
Studies done find no problems with vaccinating pregnant women and finds that antibodies are passed on to the baby, protecting both of them from COVID-19 infection:
