From the very first moment of Biden’s first press conference, one could tell that the days of Trump press conferences were gone. You remember those days, don’t you? Gotcha questions, lectures, fights, interruptions, blatant disrespect – not from Trump, but from the media. It was they who created a sense of chaos and divisiveness, not Trump. It was very different this time. The media were on their best behavior but even they couldn’t protect Biden from himself. Other posts here address more substantive issues raised in the press conference. This is just about style points for both Biden and the media.
Speaking of the first moment, Kayleigh McEnany noticed something striking about the press:

Her hope was bound to be disappointed because the media’s softballs were something else entirely. Before that, though, Biden made a few statements. To this biased observer, it was obvious that Sleepy Joe had been given an infusion of something to wake him up. Maybe it was just a strong cup of coffee, but his dilated black pupils were unnerving. This meme, which predates the press conference, makes the point:
His eyes also reminded me of a silly shtick in the TV show Supernatural¸ which had two brothers fighting all the evil things out there, including demons. To demonstrate that someone was possessed by a garden-variety demon, the show invariably had their eyes go totally black – kind of like Joe’s:

You’ve said over and over again that immigrants shouldn’t come to this country right now. This isn’t the time to come. That message is not being received. Instead, the perception of you that got you elected as a moral decent man is the reason why a lot of immigrants are coming to this country and entrusting you with unaccompanied minors.
Biden gratefully accepted her characterization of him as “the nice guy.” You can read here Biden’s myriad dishonest statements about the situation at the border. After he’d spoken for a while, a mixture of lies, crude attacks on Trump, and confusing statements, Biden suddenly stopped and said,
Am I giving you too long an answer, because if you don’t want the detail. No, no, but I mean, I don’t know how much detail you want about immigration. Maybe I’ll stop there.
I noticed the respectful standing........it was disgusting

Despite the left’s tender loving respect, he was offended (and incoherent) when one reporter dared ask him about his running for reelection. Biden responded with:
“Look, I don’t know where you guys come from, man. I’ve never been able to travel. I’m a great respecter of fate. I’ve never been able to plan four and a half, three and a half years ahead for certain.”
Biden did take care to avoid any rough handling. Notably, he did not call on Fox’s Peter Doocy, who might actually have asked a real question with a challenging follow-up.
Ominously, though, when asked if he thought he’d be running against Trump in 2024, he said, “I have no idea whether there’ll be a Republican party.” Given the Democrats’ efforts to jettison the filibuster and create permanent one-party rule, that was a worrisome statement.

Well, he didn’t seem to shuffle through his notes at all. It is almost as if he had a list of questioners and a list of answers, and knew which answer would be next.
He called on only 10 reporters in roughly an hour and 15 minutes. All of the reporters called upon were friendlies, some of whom, especially NPR’s Yamiche Alcindor, seemed to be helping him present his narrative.
The contrast to the contentious tone of President Trump’s press conferences was stark.

Cat is out of the bag - they can’t hide it. This was a disaster, not just for Biden but for the media. They’re completely exposed as frauds. They are not a “free press” they are just the propaganda arm of the D party.
Saying this on FR is hardly news but this was so obvious to anyone - it’s embarrassing to even try to hide it.
The way Fox5 TV News edited and added their own commentary to a short clip of the news conference, you would think Xiden is a brilliant leader in control. The lies and corruption on the Left is beyond anything ever seen before.
One of most ridiculous parts of the press conference, when Biden actually succeeded in getting through a sentence without losing his train of thought, was when he made an absurd attack on Republican efforts to strengthen election integrity in various states.
He said:
“What I’m worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is. It’s sick. It’s sick,” he said. “I’m convinced that we’ll be able to stop this, because it is the most pernicious thing— this makes Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.”
Yes, he actually said that.
Really Joe? What that supposed to be clever? Did he come up with that on the spot, or did someone write that for him? Do we even want to know?
A whopping 75 percent of all voters support voter ID laws, which is part of Republicans’ efforts to strengthen election integrity. For Biden to even compare such commonsense legislation to Jim Crow, let alone use a really terrible metaphor to suggest that it and other efforts are worse, is just beyond inappropriate, and shameful.
Sadly, the left is swooning over the new term.

The media can try to put a positive spin on this so-called press conference, but the metrics show people aren’t buying it. If you go on YouTube and look at the view counts on the videos from the various networks for either the press conference or comments on it, the numbers are ridiculously low; typically under 2K.
There’s a channel on YouTube called Hambini Engineering where the guy talks about bicycle bottom brackets and ball bearings. He routinely gets 50 ~ 100K views on his videos.

I really don’t think it’s that big of deal, and if anything it detracts from focusing on the things that really should concern people, like his comments about equating Voter ID with Jim Crow Laws.
