The father of slain Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley said his son was a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment – and would have reportedly hated to see his death used for political purposes.
“My son would have been deeply offended to know his death would be used to promote gun control. Before he was an officer, he enjoyed shooting,” Eric Talley told TMZ about the 11-year veteran, who was among 10 people slaughtered at a King Soopers supermarket on Monday.
The grieving dad told the news outlet that the late hero cop owned an AR-15, which he often used for target practice.

I am curious to know if the FBI ever prevented a crime if the person of interest was going to do it or do they just watch.
Brave man. The cop and the dad who is also showing some big courage. Good men like that out there give me hope sometimes.
Class of ‘88 Highland HS Albuquerque. Vaya con Dios.
Depends on what the motives and targets are.
Talley was brave and died unselfishly above and beyond the call of duty .
The feebs not only watch but facilitate.
I too am an “advocate” of the Bill of Rights. I guess that makes me some kind of ***hole in Nanzi Piglosi’s Amerika!
As a former LEO... I can tell you that I hated the notion that the government would have any say in disarming innocent people. Democrats, leftists, communists are stupid people. They don’t give squat about you. They want you to be defenseless to their mob of worthless scum.
People are denied all the time with a NICS check, for a variety of reasons. They want to disarm us while surrounding themselves with guns just like those dudes in white in The Hunger Games.
Here we have Al Issa. Someone on the Feebies radar for whatever reason and not a thing happens during his NICS check.
Some folks have done some research and found that the neighborhood the supermarket is in has a large Jewish population. So, some postulate that is why the Muslim chose the King Sooper.
Aside from the large Jewish population, the politics of Boulder is extremely Left and they are rabid anti-gun. Ergo, the folks in the King Sooper were defenseless and he knew that.
So, after all of that, I’m pretty confident a quick visit from law enforcement, either the Feebies or the locals, could have prevented this. He probably would have sh*t his pants when they confronted him. Especially if they had done it on the street. If he cried that they were profiling, a simple rundown of his ISIS sympathies and affiliations would put that to rest.
NO! They take innocent people like Richard Jewell, ruin his life wrongly. They trade information with a scumbag mobster “whitey bulger” that caused people to lose their lives. They shoot Randy Weaver’s wife in the back while she is unarmed and holding her baby. Ohhhh.... these are all “PROUD” days for the fbi. They only thing they “PREVENT” is you doing “ANYTHING” The left does not approve of. They are an armed tool of the leftists and democrats. frank marshall davis jr filled it with a bunch of minority-hires, as opposed to the best and the brightest. Remember that the next time some fed gov thug confronts you.
Officer Talley did indeed have guts. I can’t say that about the rest of the cops there. They positioned themselves outside and didn’t enter for almost an hour... all the while gunshots were still being heard from inside.
Who knows how many additional victims were shot or slowly bled out while the cops waited.
My alma mater ‘65. Sad day indeed.
Bless this family. Hopefully the dad can get on Tucker and spread this message.
Indeed. Same for Brian Sicknick’s family.
