We learned in the 7th grade the addictive and deadly nature of Opiates, Doctors didn’t used to just get you addicted and send you on your merry way. In 1979 my doctors and I had a nice long talk on how I was going to be a junkie for 3 months, but it was OK because I spent 1 week going through managed withdrawls in the Hospital, when the crap was out of my system I had the Surgery and it was Over.
