Just yesterday, I saw a guy on CNBC talking about USA ports.
He said no USA ports are currently designed to load or unload these giant ships.
The photograph of the grounded ship is amazing.
They might need every tug boat in Panama to get thing back on course!
It’s not likely they would be bringing tug boats across the ocean for something like this.
Panama is a long way from the Suez Canal.
Dumass
And my plastic crap from china will be late.
The Suez canal is in Egypt.
If they're sending chinese products to the U.S. via the Suez canal they're sending it the long way around the planet.
Panama?
The largest container ships can carry 24,000, 20 foot units.
24,000, 20 foot units laid end on end would stretch a distance of 90 miles.
We are screwed.
“He said no USA ports are currently designed to load or unload these giant ships.”
We have ports that can handle these, else these ships would never be built.
Besides a ship like this never offloads it’s entire load in a single port.
