And just to think, the great emancipator really wasn’t. Lincoln’s letter to Horace Greeley pretty much sums up his thoughts on slavery and the union.
His goal was not to free the slave, it was to preserve the union at all cost.
Even the “great emancipator”, along with others threw out the notion that the negro should be recolonized back to Afrika and or the Caribbean.
Guess the victors really do get to write history.
