So it’s crackers that are trafficking Asian women?
“I have to wonder if the women working in the massage parlor(s) are victims of [Human] Trafficking.”
It would be hard to tell without investigation. Certainly, in the past, some were, both in Asian and Eastern European staffed Massage parlors. I cannot imagine that the same is not true today. Complicating the investigations, the IDs of the Trafficked girls would be stolen and used to smuggle in other women to work in these places. [When massueses apparently in their 20s have IDs/Visas/Passports of women in their 30s and 40s, one begins to suspect ID theft] But local vice squads would not have the resources, or the inclination, to track down the potential international connections.
Yup.
The CCP is behind all of the crap .
Trying to ban all
criticism of Chinese military virus and there spies .
“During the Vietnam War, women from Thailand and many other Asian countries were used for sex by U.S. soldiers at various “rest and recreation” spots. The bodies and perceived submissiveness of Asian women were eroticized and hypersexualized, Kim said, and eventually these racist stereotypes were brought back to the United States.”
So that’s the thanks for the sacrifice of fifty five thousand American service men killed in Vietnam. Pol Pot did not show much respect for the women of Cambodia as he killed them and their families.
Thankfully small my ass
They vote 70-90% democrat woke or not
“reduced to sex objects”...... most of the asian brides ( ok, all of them) i knew as a marine’s wife were hookers back home. Some of them continued their merry ways after they got married and ended up in the USA.
when we lived briefly in Syria- asian girls were hookers.
I can see where some folks are confused...
I randomly checked in by emails on about 10 Asian American friends over the course of the last several months in several places stateside. LA County, East Bay and Silicon Valley and Virginia/Maryland and NYC suburbs. To a person they said yes, things getting bad for them. A noticeable uptick in shitty remarks, slurs and two told me of altercations. I asked why and again to a person they said “Covid” and anti Asian sentiment. I asked who did that; they said both black and white. They were relating also their friends and family’s rumors and reports. I’m not there so I don’t know. A few of them were actually afraid for their elders going out these days and extra careful. Four of them weren’t even Chinese—that’s the insanity of it (Korean, Japanese). At least that’s what they say and not one of them have any reason as far as I can tell to BS me and they are credible. They don’t even know each other in most cases.
It’s anecdotal I know. So I looked up some crime reports and it looked like a 150 percent increase in reported cases of racial attacks. I’m no lib but I believe these people and I say there is very likely something to it. Not saying in the case of that Georgia crackpot—maybe—but it does seem legit Covid has pissed some off about Asians in general—through no fault of they’re own. If true, that sucks.
Her first name was Poon?
Generally speaking, more Hispanics vote for Republicans than Asians do, be they East Asian, Middle Eastern or from the
Indian subcontinent. That should tell you how “conservative” most are. Just because they flourish in America does not mean many see themselves as rugged individual Americans. Leftism is the “mainstream” culture here, and Asians, again generally speaking, conform to what’s socially approved.
Asian cultures in general are conformist cultures. So conforming to the main stream is natural nonconfrontational step to assimilate. Individualism to many Asians seems confrontational particularly in today’s culture
Yup. The biggest “minority” group that votes or leans Republican are Hispanics, from 28-35%. That’s higher than Jews, homosexuals, blacks, or Asians. And that’s in a good year. Asians are not the not the natural Right-wingers many conservatives think they are. Conformity is as important as succeeding academically, and the mainstream culture in America is not conservative, as much as we’d like to believe it is.
Right? I have no issue with American citizens who’ve lived here most of their lives being admitted into great schools and succeeding, but we have an overabundance of foreign nationals in our schools and economy. A lot more white kids get rejected than Asians. My husband works as a headhunter and 98% of the people he finds six figure salary jobs for are Asian or Indian, many non-citizens who can barely speak English. Conservatives have their “pet” minorities just like Lefties do, but at least the Leftists get their votes. We look like suckers always extolling the virtues of people who despise Right-wing politics.
True and it’s something conservatives have to be honest about. Oriental culture is not Occidental. Different peoples see reality in varying ways and we have to acknowledge that while groups have traits we admire & aspire to, they may not view government and politics like we do.
After 9-11 crimes against Middle-Easterners & and Indians (!) increased. I don’t sanction the idea of Hate crimes in any way, but it’s true that some crimes are committed just because of race, ethnicity or religions. There are people out there who are unhinged or easily swayed and don’t need much pushing to make them react violently, for myriad reasons. So, I can believe that there could be an increase of racially motivated attacks because in a nation of 330 million there may be a few hundred or thousand people who lash out. It would be interesting to know who is doing the attacks, but most violence against Asians is intra-ethnic or committed by another minority group.
This shooting seems to a simple case of a sex pervert killing hookers, which is like a drug dealer getting killed by rivals. Both black market occupations have a high murder rate. Strange how femininists have not used this as a “sex worker’s” issue but I guess race comes before sex on the intersection scale of wokedom.
In agreement.
By and large, true
