Las Vegas conventions are coming back in 2021 and attracting major speakers — including at least one former president.

Financial services firm Carson Group announced Friday that President George W. Bush is on the special guest list for its annual conference, Excell 2021. The event is set to take place Oct. 12-14 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The convention had originally been slated for June of 2020 but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming show will be offered as both an in-person and a virtual event.

Bush’s conversation is titled, “The Challenges Facing Our Nation in the 21st Century and the Power of Freedom,” and will be addressed to the financial advisers, team members and industry influencers attending the convention, according to a Friday news release.

Heh, heh. Can’t even bring themselves to mention his name in the headline.
They were hoping people would think it was going to be Trump so they would show up in droves to see/hear him.

Instead it will be Karl Rove's sock puppet bringing "a new tone".

Even Rush was fooled by these clowns, when after he talked to him, he publicly announced on his show, before the election, that GW was a conservative.

GWB seemed to enjoy all those Democrat attacks against him after 2006. He never said a word in protest.

I threw the book in the garbage after finishing the chapter regarding his refusal to pardon Scooter Libby.

It was no coincidence - first turncoat Charlie Crist comes out making noise about running for governor.

Then Mumblin George comes out of hiding - they’re calling their fellow Bushrats out of hiding.

Bush is a full out pimp for the democrats.

I have to agree with you. I defended “W” many times. He was a USAF pilot training graduate and an Air National Guard pilot. He did not see active duty, as I did, but he did hang his butt out flying the F-102. I understand his being questioned about the guard drills etc. I flew with the ANG after I left active duty and the rules are such that the average person would question them. I was responsible to fly the required time, fill the required squares and the unit allowed me to create my own schedule to work around my airline flying schedule. The system works and screw Dan Rather!
But, back to “W,” he was such a disappointment that I have to disown him. He turns out to be a nothing burger who involved us in several wars. His pique, inherited from GHW Bush, sent troops to Iraq with dubious reason.
He was not dumb but he never displayed any sign of wisdom!

No Respect from me either.

Good morning, Col. Guano. I felt and feel the same about W. I loved and defended him even as he declined to defend himself from the Dems and media, especially in his last couple of years before Barak the Usurper ascended the Throne.

And, yes, screw Rather He’s just a Lee Harvey Oswald wannabe and his great ambition was to take down W, not with a rifle but phony docs with phony fonts. A frame job all the way. (Fraud and frame jobs are two the Left’s favorite things.)

It hurt me to realize what an amoral man he really is and feel my affection turn to disrespect and contempt.

Maybe he is just a flawed man? No politician has had very good judgement that I can remember. The most remarkable thing is how bad people are at judging other people. It was Trump’s flaw, it was G.W.’s flaw, it was Ronald Reagan’s flaw (ask people about what they think about GHWB now).

Free Republic gives the impression that leadership is a no brainer and all you have to do is take the most conservative action. Conservative is an ideology like every other one, one I happen to think is mostly correct, but it is a method of simplifying a very complex world into a workable mental model. We shouldn’t forget that people have their own ideas on how things work and not everyone is evil for disagreeing with us. That is what makes the SJWs so pernicious.

Who among us is the perfect paragon of what a conservative person is? Certainly not me. I don’t much care for GWB, but I don’t think he is some kind of demon either.
