Big fin ‘58 Plymouth, right?

Some buddies and I did a tour of the Eastern US in a ‘57 Plymouth after graduation from high school. With its modern push button transmission and big fins, it performed reasonably well, but the brakes did give out in the Smoky Mountains, which made for a very exciting ride into Asheville.

We did a lot of sleeping and eating in that machine and pretty well exhausted its useful life. :D

Think so. The one Dad bought was a Dodge I think very similar.

My favorite was a 62 Plymouth Satellite. Very dark red almost a crimson. At night it almost looked black. Rolled/pleated bucket seats. 318 push buttons. It was the fastest car in town off the lights. The 327s would catch her down the strip but she’d run off and leave them the first 200 yards.

I got a ticket for drag racing on main street in that car.
