In the Marine Corps, we don't have quotas, but we do have goals. And Marines accomplish goals," my officer-in-charge told me and a few other brand-new second lieutenants, each of us assigned to temporary recruiting duty while awaiting orders to Quantico. The captain then told us we had to sign up a certain number of college-enrolled racial minorities and females. No need to be too strict on physical fitness or academics, he said. Just bring them in.
That was in 2009. Discrimination of this sort has been an ingrained yet lamentable part of the military's recruitment, retention and promotion practices for many years. But my fellow officers and I couldn't have imagined that, 12 years later, our disagreement with these policies would get us labeled "racist," "sexist," "bigoted" or "extremists" worthy of "eradication" and "elimination" from the USMC. Yet the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps said as much in his February 22 "core values" memo.
I'm now a major in the Marine Corps Reserve and a member of a formerly all-male infantry battalion.* This past weekend we had our monthly drill period. A few days before drill, the command told us that all scheduled training on Sunday morning was canceled and replaced with a "stand-down to address extremism in the ranks."

They do seem to be getting some pushback from the enlisted men, who are asking why BLM extremists are not considered to be a similar threat.
This iron-fisted leftism being pushed by the ChiCom puppeteers of Vegetablejoe and his SecDefcompoop gives nothing but aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States of America.

“I’m now a major in the Marine Corps Reserve”
Not for long, I guess.
I wonder how much of the military accepts how we handed the country over to foreign powers without having fired a shot? Probably more than we would guess.
I wonder if Marines who served in the 40s...50s...60s...all the way up to a few months ago are tempted, after reading this,to think of themselves as “former” Marines.
At the outset it was claimed that the men and the women were undergoing the *exact* same training. No allowances were given to the women.
After a particularly tough day of training they interviewed members of both platoons. The men were clearly sore, tired and even a bit dispirited. But they all made it clear that they were still good to go.
Camera switches to the women...who were all weeping like 6 year olds.

That has been true for ages. Sure was in ‘72 when I yellow foot-printed myself into the Corps. We had some ‘recruits’ that couldn’t walk fast much less run and a couple guys that couldn’t make it in pre-kindergarden much less a fire fight.
That was about the time Nixon opened the China connection and we been getting rode like stuck ponies since then.
