The democrats did promise a fundamental transformation of the country. And, it’s happening as we speak.
When the filibuster is gone (no ifs ands or buts about it, it’s gone!), democrats will be completely free to do with the government and country as they wish.
The constitution won’t matter anymore.
The country is in crisis, and it’s not about the border or about spending or about mobs or riots. The crisis is that democrats will be free to do away with elections, even if they pretend to care and might even hold pretend elections. Our pretend-elections will be like the ones that are held in Russia and Venezuela. Only one party will be the winner each time, which would make the republican party moot point.
With the filibuster gone, the number of supreme court justices will be increased to 13 or more, with only liberal judges getting in. At that point, the supreme court won’t matter anyway, since the one party rule will insure that no judges get in the way, and rulings will be as the party in control wishes. In essence, SCOTUS will be useless too, and may not even be consulted for anything.
When democrats are firmly and fully in control, the U.S.A. and its constitution will be history, and will only come back through a civil war. But then, a civil war will be useless, since the party in command will use the military to suppress any uprisings, and the part of the constitution which prohibits use of the military forces within our borders will have been repealed.
With that, the U.S. will be in danger, not only from within, but from our many adversaries abroad, including China, Russia, N. Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela. They will all be coming in, through our borders and by planes and ships. Thus, the greatest democracy and country that ever was, will have been destroyed.
If you believe that all is lost, then why aren’t you doing something beyond playing chicken little on a message board.
I’d expect to see at least as much action as the Boston Tea Party. Yet, you are here and not dumping tea.
