Until Republican state lawmakers put in place criminal penalties for state officials overstepping their authority nothing will happen. Democrats don't play by Marquis of Queensbury rules.
Impossible for them to do that. In states where Republican’s control things, the penalties aren’t needed.
In states where Republican’s control the legislature but, somehow, Democrats have Gov, Lt Gov, SOS, & AG, nothing is going to be passed and signed into law, unless the Rs can override the veto. Maybe they can in Michigan. But without that ability, it goes no where.
Hell, in Georgia, where the Rs control everything, the aforementioned leadership positions are all filled with Democrats that play Republican and they wouldn’t dare set themselves up like that.
