A San Luis Obispo County jury convicted 37-year-old Lucion Lee Edward Banks for human trafficking a 14-year-old girl in San Luis Obispo.

What's the difference between human trafficking and slavery?

I have no idea what the term “trafficking” means but I see it a lot.

DHS — “Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.”

So it seems that “human trafficking” is a superset that covers both slavery and prostitution.

You have to wonder where this guy could have found a 14 year old child to enslave. Maybe at the border sold by Mexican gangs?
