When you are asked to leave, regardless of it being from private or public property, you become a trespasser if you do not leave immediately.

You don’t get a “time out” during which you can rant. You leave.

In this state, and I suppose most are similar, the person in charge of the property may take reasonable force to remove you.. a dangerous move.

So in this case the cops had the right and the duty to remove her.

Now whether they were too rough is an entirely different question and not resolvable by anyone not present.

Never a good idea to bow up with the cops. Go to court because most likely you’re gonna lose on the street. Or in this case on private property. As for ‘boa’......... Never get my business. I’d rather deal with my mattress.

Good post yours. One thing conservatives value is property rights. This was a “no shoes, no service” type of thing.

But as you noted, the level of force the cop applied - that’s a separate issue.

"cops had the right"

Oops, fail. The police don't have the right to exercise police power, they are not entitled to do their duty. What they have is an authority. The authority is derived from the delegation of powers, not the sovereign right of the government. We're citizens, not subjects.

When a police officer says they have a right to act, they are exceeding their jurisdiction. When you say it about the police, you are submitting to a tyranny.

You're missing the larger point here. This wasn't a thing until last year. Prior to COVID you could wear practically anything you wanted in a bank or any other business and get service. When was the last time you saw anybody actually enforcing a dress code by calling the cops? And make no mistake...this is a DRESS CODE by the bank. It's not a law because the law says she doesn't have to wear a mask.

Until you can’t even get food anymore. Stand up for your rights. I understand property rights, but tbere also has to be an ability for people to eat without their rights being trampled.
