Then why did he abandon the Senate floor and go into hiding with the rest of the Senate?

There is no right to “protest”

There *is* a right to peacefully assemble for the redress of grievances.

The only good protester- regardless of cause - is one rapidly assuming ambient temperature from a gaping chest wound.

There is no issue, anywhere, anything, anytime, this is important enough to block a street or building I wish to use.
