Who’s to say that’s not what this was? The DeepFakes produced by various amateurs already look damn convincing. Imagine what could be done with the computing power, near-AI, and video technology available to the US Government. They’ve had plenty of time to tune the system to deliver the speech convincingly. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find that there is an ongoing effort to generate an ultra-high quality DeepFake of Bai-Dian for this very purpose, and that the majority of his “appearances” will be “televised” rather than in-person. By summer the DeepFake might even be able to respond to questions and not appear any more incoherent than the actual person.
After the Tom Cruise fakes by a single individual, it’s not unreasonable to assume the deep state can manufacture a Joek Biden clone saying anything they want.
