“Buy-Dung used the same emotive, anecdotal imagery during the dark beginning . . .”

Does that work with most voters?

It may work, but it's not the voters Biden is appealing to now.

It's his handlers, cohorts, funders and anonymous fixers who put him in the White House and are by now wondering whether they put money on the wrong horse (or donkey, is it were).

Over the past seven weeks, Biden has, besides issuing a staggering number of executive orders (all of which we can assume were drawn up well before January 20), demonstrated a remarkable talent for ad lib speaking, literally.

Forgetting names, places, what he's doing, where he is and where he's going is a common ailment suffered by millions of Americans in Biden's age group. It can be a precursor to dementia or maybe not. We all have occasional lapses of memory when we're short on sleep or under stress.

Needless to say, Joe's blunders of late cannot be very reassuring to the group of people who invested in Joe as the "moderate" alternative to Donald Trump. They kept him out of the glare of spotlights all during the campaign, thinking he could make profitable use of his isolation by working on his extemporaneous speaking skills.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes the WaPost and NYT writers to start reporting Biden's memory lapses, mispronunciations and outright lies.
