My statement may offend some folks, but here it goes: My dad was active in Buckhead Coalition (a ‘good ole boys’ group. He told me 20 years ago that white folks were moving out of Atlanta city, headed for the suburbs, and letting the black folks handle Atlanta.Several years ago one of my Navy buddies was getting ready to retire and thinking aloud about where to live. When I suggested Atlanta, my friend who was a black Chief said 'that city is too black'.
