The former president praised Julia Letlow as “a wonderful and talented person” in a statement he released through his Save America PAC supporting her run to represent Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District.

“She is Pro-Life and strong on Crime, the Border, loves our Military, our Vets, and will always protect our cherished Second Amendment,” Trump wrote. “Julia, who is so outstanding, has my Complete and Total Endorsement. The Great State of Louisiana will be thrilled!”

This says there are 13 candidates: 1 Dem, 1 independent, and 10 Republicans! As usual, the Republicans can’t get their act together. The Dem will likely get enough votes to have a runoff against the top Republican. If no candidate gets 50%, the runoff will be held on April 24.

He is going to line up a strange group of new and currently elected people with expected conservative stances (which I am totally happy about) and RINOs who he believes he can influence. The latter will be the RINOs that are too timid to not vote for Trump, but for whom they would bend to a bully in Congress, if Trump's aura isn't strong enough.

Republicans can’t get their act together. Alabama had a Democrat senator because the Republicans trip all over themselves. They really need to get their act together.

C’mon freepers. All this party needs to get its act together, too many candidates running, stuff. Like we really want the party picking our candidates. They do that too much already and we all scream about it, then these elections come up and we scream at the party to only let the one or a few in. Like the GOPe would ever select the Trump candidate in the primary. this is somewhat a free country and anyone is free to run if they want. You all want it both ways.

At some point though you have to get smart about things. You just can’t have 5 people that you can’t tell apart running for an office.

I’m OK with rallying behind the Trump endorsed candidate.
