He’s pretty smart, but unfocused and scatterbrained. I don’t think he has any ideology. He’d probably run as a Dem. He’s not a bad guy, but he’s not a executive leader on the scale of Texas Governor. Try Rhode Island State Senator.
I don’t think he can take the pay cut and be disliked by a large part of his audience. Never mix business and politics, sure to make 1/2 your customers mad!

His last tentpole was Interstellar (2014) and his last "project" he got made was Free State of Jones (2016).
Serenity bombed. White Boy Rick bombed. The Beach Bum opened to $1.8 million and parked it. (Interstellar passed 670M recently).
I think he'll run, as a Democrat, and wreck the primary alright, alright, alright!
