In terms of raw manpower I agree, but the United States didn't have technological superiority. By the 1960s the United States had manpower, logistics, and technological superiority.

Either way, the military has become hollowed out and too reliant on technology.

Yep to they have been hollowed out etc., and you are right they are WAY WAY too reliant on technology because it can be taken over/remotely/etc., hacked, fail, etc.!

They CIA and feds. etc. caused our military to lose the Vietnam war though.

We won WWII. :)
