Could do it in a week. Not so if the ROC has nuclear weapons and my money is on them having a big bowl full of them from tactical artillery and anti-ship/fleet blasters to city busters and anti-aircraft formation destroyers.
Missiles are a different problem but an attack on a nuclear-armed Taiwan/Quemoy/Matsu would be a Doomsday scenario for Red China. No winners. Only losers.
