Why The 2022 Winter Olympics Need To Be Moved From Beijing

They won't be - the IOC couldn't care less about the fact that China is the premier threat to human rights and world peace today. The Federalist knows it too - they can surely find less ridiculous ways to detail how much China sucks than to frame it in the context of the irrelevant and corrupt Olympics.

See, I love the traditions, ceremonies, and the IDEA of the Games. I love to see it when Americans win gold in anything, and I love to hear our National Anthem played.

But in 2022....after what China has done and is still doing, this may be the first Olympics I will purposely give a miss to.

It’s sad to think that all those young American athletes, who have put in long, grueling hours of hard work and practice to be the best in the world...they won’t get the chance to show the world that they ARE the best in (mostly) friendly competition.
