Much of it is grudging compliance. Most places demand a mask, vaccinated or not. So the story "most poeple are still wearing masks" is a story about the obvious result of a public policy.

Yes, it’s grudging compliance, except for certain virtue signaling ones (their double masks give them away). I don’t believe forr a minute that they wear them while “visiting friends and relatives” if my neighborhood is any indication. Mask wearing around residential streets or people’s homes is so rare that it attracts our attention if it happens.
