The chief medical advisor to the president, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said masks were not necessary one year ago Monday. His advice was overridden by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) four weeks later.
“Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks… There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask.”

Fauci: “Whoever said that load of total idiocy is an ignorant fool who shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. Totally wrong and absurd.”

Fauci: “Hey, makes a whole lot of sense now that I think about it. Bright guy.”
Apart from Fauci’s annoying smugness, know-it-all attitude and faux-prole accent, he’s been cosmically wrong or blatantly hypocritical in changing his tune.
The blindfold-wearing media don’t seem to notice.
Whether one views Fauci as infallible oracle or as cynical government hack, he is still incapable of being in two places at once. If this ‘crisis’ is so dire, widespread, dangerous, etc. and if it requires someone of staggering achievement and intellect like Fauci then why is he capable of going on TV nearly round the clock for over a full year? He’s also been on the BBC and other foreign channels despite a) being a US government employee and b) not being an employee of the British or other governments.
We’ve all met Fauci types in our families, at work, in social settings. They aren’t always little runts physically like Fauci but they are all vainglorious attention seekers.
Mask did work for the first variant of the virus, because Japan obviously didn’t see a whole lot of cases.... With new variants taking over, the virus has exploded in Japan with many more cases and deaths over the past couple of months. Mask are ineffectual against the new variants. Pure and simple... The only good mask to wear now is a P-95 mask... That’s why Faulci is telling everybody to wear more mask than one.
