When floods hit Bangladesh in 2017, for instance,14-year-old Sarmin suddenly had to face the prospect of getting married..... I'm sure there must be a correlation here that I'm missing. It's called "We can't afford to feed all our kids, that guy over there is willing to provide you with food, clothing, and shelter, go keep him happy". It's not like she was going to college and becoming an engineer.
